Starting the conversion
process
Once you have successfully installed PowerFlashPoint
software, just open your PowerPoint. You should see
the PowerFlashPoint toolbar on the top left portion
of your PowerPoint application window.
In Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, the PowerFlashPoint
toolbar will be in the Add-Ins tab of the ribbon.
In Microsoft PowerPoint 2002/2003 the
PowerFlashPoint toolbar will appear on the top left
corner of the PowerPoint menu bar.
Open one of your existing PowerPoint
presentations. Or create a new PowerPoint presentation
and save the same.
Click the PowerFlashPoint toolbar button.
You will be presented with the PowerFlashPoint
main interface dialog. You can use this dialog
to convert your presentation to SWF movie or change
the settings for the conversion process.
Hit the Convert button to start the conversion
process.
If your presenation has any video or flash
movie, PowerFlashPoint will not convert them. That
is, the videos and flash movie will not work in the
converted SWF presentation. Also all PowerPoint custom
animation effects are not supported now. PowerFlahsPoint
will use a default custom animation effect (not user
selectable) for all those custom animation effects
that are not currently supported by PowerFlashPoint.
PowerFlashPoint will support the missing custom animation
effects in its subsequent versions.
If you have not saved your current presentation
before hitting the PowerFlashPoint toolbar, you will
be informed to save the presentation by the Save
Presentation dialog.
Click Yes to save the presentation. (Clicking
No will abort the conversion process).
If the presentation has not saved at
least once, you will be prompted to choose the location
where the presentation is to be saved to by the Save
As dialog. Choose the location and hit the Save
button. (Cancel will abort the conversion process).
Now the conversion process will start
and the progress will be indicated by two progress
bars in the PowerFlashPoint main interface dialog.
The first progress bar indicates the
slide by slide conversion progress. The second progress
bar indicates the overall presentation conversion
progress.
